Panels 1 and 3 are based on real conversations that I overheard recently. To get the full effect of the first panel, though, you have to know that when this lady said her weekend was great, she said it in the most overwhelmingly chipper tone possible. It was sickening. Another gem from the construction guys went like this:

Guy 1: What?
Guy 2: I was just thinking.
Guy 1: Uh oh! Don't do that!

Seriously, these guys were nuts. Every comment was from out of left field and a complete non sequitur. It was quite amusing. And hey, at least these guys were having fun with their job... Panel two is just a random thought/worry that I've had on several occasions. There are hand sanitizer dispensers in the hallways at my work; the kind that spit out a little pool of gel when you put your hands under them. I've always thought that it was a poor design choice. Hope the beginning of your week's been going well.
